Supply of dual desks to Primary schools

Prime Initiatives is working together with the Ghana Education Service (GES) at the district level to help improve the quality of education especially in Junior and Senior High Schools in the Banda and Jaman North Districts. The two districts are rural districts with communities that are very deprived and lack the necessary educational infrastructure for effective teaching and learning activities.

In 2020, the organization secured funding from LDS Charities and the Purley Overseas Trust (POST) to fabricate 320 metal dual desks and 40 teachers tables and chairs for 3 primary schools in the Banda District. The pupils of the school used to sit on the bare floor whiles others laid on their bellies to write.
There are a lot of schools that need dual desks for the pupils to use during classes.

Supply of exercise books, pens, pencils and mathematical sets to schools

Prime Initiatives has supplied 12,000 exercise books and pens to basic schools in the Banda and Tain Districts. The books were given to the pupils of 30 selected schools.
